About Anisa

Anisa earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University in 2021, with minors in Honors, sociology, and global development. During her time at EMU, she was recognized as a 2021 Cords of Distinction recipient for her academic excellence and leadership. She also contributed to the campus community as a writer for the university’s student newspaper, sharing insights on social issues and student life.

She went on to earn her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, further developing her expertise in client-centered care, policy, and evidence-based practice. She is currently pursuing her legal studies at George Washington University Law School, where she is expanding her knowledge to advocate for social justice and strengthen her impact on vulnerable populations.

Professional Work

Anisa works as a Social Work Intake Specialist, where she supports clients by assessing their needs and connecting them with appropriate services. Her role allows her to combine compassion, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families.
